My current workstation (that I got earlier this year) is running a 7970x CPU, 256 gigs of RAM, and a GeForce RTX 4090. Most of my coworkers use a similar level of rig. The previous workstation I used for almost three years and was running a 3080, 128 gigs of RAM, and a 32 core CPU. These are fairly reasonable workstation specs for a dev working in AAA games. When I wasn't in AAA, the system specs definitely weren't as strong.
I occasionally use my work PC to play other games (either for reference or recreation), but not very often. I never use it for other non-work activities. I find it much easier not to cross the streams that way.
