Hey everybody. I’m a game developer and I run a small blog called “Ask a Game Dev” where I answer questions from anybody about the game industry and game development process. More than any other type of question, I get asked the most about how to get into the industry. People love to ask about what to study, what skills are necessary, and other career-based things. I really wanted to post on a specific subject that I’ve seen through my own observations. If you seriously want to be a game developer, please please please do not try to “game” the university system by putting in the minimum amount of work to maximize your GPA. Please do not try to get by with studying only what will be on the exam.
