
Those are "lifestyle games". The main thing you consider is that it's a game you play day in and day out for years - it's part of your lifestyle. Monster Hunter Wilds, Street Fighter 6, Rainbow Six Siege, Apex Legends, League of Legends, Roblox, any MMOG, the Sims, and so on and so forth are all games we expect players to play regularly day in, day out, week after week, month after month, year after year. As such, they're called "lifestyle games" because they are part of your lifestyle. You can also include other games like chess, Go, D&D, Magic: The Gathering, Warhammer, etc. in this category as well. Whenever a particular specific game is essentially synonymous with "hobby" by itself, it is a lifestyle game.
